Sham Uddin: An Islamic Version of Candace Owens Spewing Vile Conspiracies
Sham Uddin, a devout Muslim barrister and former Independent parliamentary candidate for Bethnal Green and Stepney, has weaponized his platform to spew rabid antisemitic and anti-Israel vitriol, cloaking it as "justice." His rhetoric mirrors the dangerous apologetics of figures like Candace Owens, who infamously downplayed Nazi atrocities. Uddin’s contributions to outlets like TV Islam amplify this poison, lending a veneer of legitimacy to incitement against Jews and Israel—the world’s bulwark against Islamist extremism. His lies, like those of other apologists for evil, erode truth and embolden jihadist violence.
A Pattern of Hatred: From "Free Palestine" Rants to Tesla as "Hitler Wagons"
Uddin’s bigotry is relentless. On June 13, 2024, he posted a selfie-video from a pro-Palestinian march, chanting “Free Free Palestine” and snarling threats at “Israeli terrorists” born in the UK, US, or Israel: “You can run, you can bomb but you cannot hide—justice will be coming for you.” This wasn’t free speech; it was a blood libel masquerading as protest, shared just before he was set to prosecute pro-Palestinian demonstrators under the UK’s Terrorism Act. His post drew condemnation, with even Deputy Senior District Judge Tanweer Ikram “liking” it, earning Ikram a formal misconduct warning from the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office (JCIO). This echoes Senior District Judge Paul Goldspring’s reprimand for calling Palestinian support “worthy” while sentencing Hamas sympathizers.
Uddin’s venom extends beyond Israel. On February 12, 2025, he likened driving behind a Tesla to trailing a “Hitler Wagon”—a grotesque smear equating an innovative American company, one advancing green technology that bolsters global security, including Israel’s, to Nazi death machines. This casual Holocaust invocation desecrates Jewish suffering, normalizing antisemitism under the guise of anti-capitalist quips.
Peddling Antisemitic Conspiracies Post-October 7
Uddin’s antisemitic conspiracies intensified after Hamas’ barbaric October 7, 2023, attacks, which killed approximately 1,200 Israelis and saw over 200 taken hostage. In response to a report about the Labour Party protecting a Jewish donor’s identity for safety, Uddin claimed on LinkedIn that Labour “sold its soul and the men, women, and children of Palestine to the Israel lobby,” perpetuating vile tropes about Jewish influence. Days after the attacks, he posted on Facebook, alleging the Hamas assault was “orchestrated and done with the connivance of certain parts of the Israeli government” as a “false flag operation.” He further shared an article suggesting foreknowledge of the attacks, writing, “The truth is coming out. This was an inside job. How low can the Israeli government stoop?” These fabrications shield Hamas’ terrorism while demonizing Israel.
The Manchester Atrocity: Inventing Israeli Guilt for Jihadist Bloodshed
Uddin’s depravity peaked after the October 2, 2025, jihadist terror attack in Manchester, where Arab immigrant Jihad al-Shamie, 35, targeted Heaton Park Synagogue during Yom Kippur, slaughtering Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, and leaving three others critically wounded. This Islamist savagery underscored the existential threats Israel combats daily to protect Jews worldwide. Yet, just 24 hours later, Uddin, leveraging his 24,000 TikTok and 30,000 Facebook followers, posted a video claiming, “Breaking news—it is rumoured that the Israeli government orchestrated the attack in the synagogue in Manchester yesterday.” He escalated further, alleging Israel is “plotting to assassinate” King Charles III. These fabrications, echoing the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, shield jihadists while painting Israel as the eternal villain. Reported to the Bar Council, Uddin’s license to practice law is a threat to justice itself.
A Threat to Truth and Security
In an era when Israel stands as a beacon of democracy and innovation against barbaric foes, Uddin’s output is a jihad of the mind, eroding the moral clarity needed to confront terrorism. His lies, from false flag conspiracies to Holocaust trivialization, endanger Jewish communities from Manchester to Jerusalem. Israel’s heroic fight against jihadist violence deserves unyielding support, not baseless calumny from apologists like Uddin. He must be held accountable before his rhetoric emboldens the next al-Shamie.
