Face of fake "genocide" propaganda case at ICJ: Naledi Pandor: From Anti-Apartheid Pedigree to Jihad Cheerleader – South Africa’s Shame

She was born into the struggle aristocracy – daughter of ANC legend Joe Matthews, educated at Harvard and Bryn Mawr – yet Naledi Pandor chose to spend her political capital not on building bridges, but on providing diplomatic cover for Hamas terrorists and mainstreaming calls for violent jihad against the world’s only Jewish state.(She converted to Islam after meeting her future husband).

What began as garden-variety anti-Israel posturing metastasized into open celebration of “armed struggle,” keffiyeh-clad mosque speeches wishing she could fight “shoulder to shoulder” with Hamas in Rafah, and the crowning insult: dragging Israel to the International Court of Justice on bogus genocide charges while the blood of October 7 was still fresh on the ground.

The Trump administration’s decision on November 21, 2025, to revoke her U.S. visa for “open support for terrorism and endorsement of violent jihads” was not a surprise. It was the world finally calling time on a bigot who had been cosplaying as a statesman for far too long.

Here are the receipts.

The Mask Slips Early

  • July 2022: Pandor openly mocks South African Jewish concerns about rising antisemitism, sneering that she only ever mentions the “two-state solution” to avoid being labelled antisemitic – thereby proving the accusation herself.1 The South African Jewish Board of Deputies brands it “thorough-going bigotry.”2

Post-October 7: Solidarity with the Butchers

  • Days after Hamas’s medieval pogrom, Pandor phones Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh to express “solidarity.”3
  • Refuses to watch IDF footage of the atrocities and refuses to designate Hamas a terrorist organisation.3
  • Hosts Hamas delegations in the South African parliament and aligns Pretoria with Tehran and other state sponsors of terror.4

The ICJ Blood Libel

  • Personally spearheads South Africa’s December 2023 ICJ case accusing Israel of “genocide” – a case universally condemned by Jewish leaders as the most extreme anti-Israel action ever taken by a democratic government.5
  • South Africa’s 50,000 Jews report feeling betrayed and unsafe in their own country.5

Glorifying Jihad – On Camera, Again and Again

  • May 2024, Cape Town mosque, wearing Palestinian keffiyeh: “I wish I were shoulder to shoulder with the men and women in Rafah,” followed by leading the crowd in cries of “Allahu Akbar.”6
  • 23 August 2025, Langa Masjid fundraiser: Declares “we are permitted to engage in jihad when necessary” and urges Muslim youth to become “true activists” – widely interpreted as incitement against Israel.7
  • Repeatedly labels Israel an “apartheid state since 1948” and claims its “genocide” began on 8 October 2023 – the day Israel was still pulling Hamas terrorists out of burned kibbutzim.7

The Reckoning

  • 21 November 2025: Trump administration revokes Pandor’s U.S. visa, explicitly citing her “open support for terrorism and endorsement of violent jihads.” She is barred from entering the United States to speak at an anti-Israel event.8

Naledi Pandor is no longer just a critic of Israeli policy. She is a high priestess of antisemitic extremism who weaponised an entire nation’s foreign policy to whitewash Hamas, glorify jihad, and delegitimise Jewish self-defence.

South African Jewry – a community that stood on the ramparts against real apartheid – now watches in horror as the ANC’s moral compass points magnetically toward Tehran and Gaza City. Pandor didn’t just betray them; she betrayed every value Nelson Mandela ever stood for, even as she now chairs his foundation.9

The visa revocation is only the beginning. The free world must isolate every official who chooses Hamas solidarity over human decency. Israel will defend itself – with or without Pretoria’s permission – and history will remember Naledi Pandor as the minister who chose the wrong side of civilisation.
